Scent of the Day: Wood Sage & Sea Salt by Jo Malone

wood sage & sea salt by jo malone review

Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt was just released this year and we are excited for our customers to be able to try this one of a kind fragrance. You may think to yourself, “why would they release a beach fragrance for fall?” These were my exact same thoughts, until I tried this beautiful concoction for myself. Jo Malone gives the following description for Wood Sage & Sea Salt, “Escape the everyday along the windswept shore. Waves breaking white, the air fresh with sea salt and spray. Alive with the mineral scent of the rugged cliffs. Mingling with the woody earthiness of sage. Lively, spirited and totally joyful.”

This is salty, cool, uplifting, and herb-infused. This takes an unlikely mixture of aromas and combines it into a well-working scent, beautifully blended. When I smell this fragrance, I want to dive head first into this ocean paradise. This is an island of relaxation, beauty, and good vibes. Smelling this fragrance, brings this sort of satisfaction along with it. It is very well done and one of those happy, cheerful scents that puts you in a good mood.

Although, I do describe it as a fall beach scent, don’t think of a gloomy day at the beach. Think of the last of summer days, with a cool salty breeze, and overcast skies. This is a natural smelling scent with sweet muskiness surrounding the salty air. It is light and fresh with the ability to layer with other scents to create your own signature.
